Tra i grandi piaceri della vita oltre a dormire e a mangiare c’è indubbiamente anche la musica. Facendo mente locale abbiamo riconosciuto come il mondo della musica, italiana e non, al cibo ci sia particolarmente affezionata tanto da renderlo protagonista in moltissimi pezzi di grande successo. Ecco allora che, in alcuni casi, questi due ultimi piaceri possono marciare uniti e compatti con grande soddisfazione da parte nostra. È il caso di tutte quelle canzoni a tema cibo, tanto da creare il primo vero e proprio Canzoniere culinario.
“PASTA AL BURRO” (BUGO)
Nel 2002, molto prima che la televisione come la conoscevamo fosse sostituita dal digitale terrestre e i programmi di cucina invadessero interi palinsesti non solo con le ricette, ma anche con gare, chef trattati come rockstar e format su ogni piccola sfumatura dell'arte di decorare le torte, Bugo anticipava questa tendenza dei cuochi televisivi e incantava intere platee cantando "In libreria c'è una conferenza / tanta gente ascolta la scienza / la cucina e i suoi segreti". Il ribelle primo Bugo affoga la sua rivendicazione di mangiare pasta al burro in distorsioni e riff saturi, al grido di "Pasta al burro è il mio oro".
“SPAGHETTI A DETROIT” (FRED BONGUSTO)
Il brano, dal gusto un pò retrò, canta la storia d’amore conclusa con una cantante di Detroit. Il pollo, evidentemente cibo molto citato dai cantanti, è anche protagonista del successo di Fred Buongusto (chi se no!) “Spaghetti a Detroit”. Il ritornello “Spaghetti, pollo, insalatina e una tazzina di caffè a malapena riesco a mandar giù” cantato con falso accento americano è una di quelle strofe che tutti, non si sa bene neppure il perché, sappiamo perfettamente.
“LA TERRA DEI CACHI” (ELIO E LE STORIE TESE)
Elio e le storie tese come dei marziani a Sanremo: nel 1996 uno spettacolo straordinario e surreale andò in scena sul palco dell’Ariston. Memorabile la performance in cui i cantanti dovevano eseguire un estratto di un minuto e invece fecero una versione compressa e accelerata. Arrivarono secondi (ma vincitori morali) con un pezzo di fortissima critica sociale (“se famo du spaghi” fu una frase in una strofa memorabile): i cachi come metafora demenziale dell’Italia.
“SUGO” (LUCA CARBONI)
Il “Sugo”, in questa canzone non
molto famosa del cantautore bolognese doc Luca Carboni, è una
metafora del “senso” delle cose. “Sugo voglio un miracolo
stasera, un fiore in bocca e un vestito di lino bianco, un muro per
appoggiarmi che sono stanco, per aspettare un bacino che mi
darai...”.
In fondo pensandoci il sugo dà proprio il senso ai
piatti e quindi dobbiamo metterne un po’ dove serve anche nella
nostra vita, così da renderla speciale e dal gusto unico.
“LE TAGLIATELLE DI NONNA PINA” (ZECCHINO D'ORO)
“La sveglia sta suonando, ma fatela tacere, perché di andare a scuola, proprio voglia non ne ho”. Comincia così, la conoscete tutti. La celebre canzone per bambini racconta di nonna Pina, la nonna di noi tutti! Le tagliatelle della nonna che fanno il pieno, che ti salvano, che danno energie… ovviamente col ragù. Un grazie a ogni nonna Pina che ci regala i migliori pranzi del mondo!
“THAT'S AMORE” (DEAN MARTIN)
Una delle canzoni più belle, conosciute e apprezzate al mondo gioca proprio con le assonanze tra la lingua inglese e quella italiana e la chiave di tutto è una sola: il cibo italiano. Pasta e fagioli (pasta e fazool), pizza, Napoli, amore. Tutto gira introno alle bontà culinarie dell’Italia che fanno innamorare.
"P.A.S.T.A." (TOM ROSENTHAL)
Anche il titolo di una canzone del 2017 del cantautore britannico Tom Rosenthal è ispirato al nostro alimento prediletto. E' un brano inserito nell'Album "Fenn".
Among the great pleasures of life, in addition to sleeping and eating, there is undoubtedly also music. Taking a local mind, we recognized how the world of music, Italian and otherwise, is particularly fond of food, so much so that it is the protagonist in many highly successful pieces. Here then is that, in some cases, these last two pleasures can march together and compact with great satisfaction on our part. This is the case of all those food-themed songs, so much so as to create the first real culinary Canzoniere.
"PASTA AL BURRO" (BUGO)
In 2002, long before television as we knew it was replaced by digital terrestrial and cooking programs invaded entire schedules not only with recipes, but also with competitions, chefs treated like rock stars and formats on every little nuance of the art of decorating cakes, Bugo anticipated this trend of television cooks and enchanted entire audiences by singing "In the bookshop there is a conference / many people listen to science / cooking and its secrets". Rebel Prime Bugo drowns his claim to eat buttered pasta in saturated distortions and riffs, shouting "Butter pasta is my gold".
"SPAGHETTI A DETROIT" (FRED BONGUSTO)
The song, with a slightly retro taste, sings the love story that ended with a singer from Detroit. Chicken, obviously a food much cited by singers, is also the protagonist of Fred Buongusto's success (who else!) “Spaghetti in Detroit”. The refrain "Spaghetti, chicken, salad and a cup of coffee I can barely swallow" sung with a false American accent is one of those verses that everyone, we don't even know why, we know perfectly well.

Elio e le Storie Tese like Martians in Sanremo: in 1996 an extraordinary and surreal show was staged on the Ariston stage. The performance in which the singers had to perform a one-minute excerpt and instead did a compressed and accelerated version was memorable. They came second (but moral winners) with a piece of very strong social criticism ("se famo du spaghi" was a sentence in a memorable verse): persimmons as an insane metaphor for Italy.

The "Sugo", in this not very famous song by the Bolognese singer-songwriter Luca Carboni, is a metaphor for the "sense" of things. "Sugo I want a miracle tonight, a flower in my mouth and a white linen dress, a wall to lean on when I'm tired, to wait for a basin that you will give me ...". After all, thinking about it, the sauce really gives meaning to the dishes and therefore we have to put some where it is needed in our life, so as to make it special and with a unique taste.
"LE TAGLIATELLE DI NONNA PINA" (ZECCHINO D'ORO)
“The alarm clock is ringing, but shut it up, because I really don't want to go to school”. It begins like this, you all know it. The famous children's song tells of grandma Pina, the grandmother of us all! Grandma's tagliatelle that fill up, save you, give you energy ... obviously with ragù. Thanks to every grandma Pina who gives us the best lunches in the world!
